It is symbolic of a nation ready to lead a continental shift \u2013 from extractive paradigms to value-driven partnerships.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 H.E Moses Micheal Engadu, AMSG Secretary-General<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The charter, adopted in January 2024, lays the legal and institutional foundation for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Mineral Value Addition, local processing and beneficiation of African minerals.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Shared exploration frameworks.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Intergovernmental cooperation on critical minerals.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pan-African investment and data standards.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Signed by the Honourable Minister of Solid Minerals Development&nbsp;<strong>H.E. Dr. Dele Alake<\/strong>, the ratification positions Nigeria to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Host key AMSG activities and summits<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Champion harmonization of standards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Spearhead value addition investments and innovation hubs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cThis is leadership by example. Nigeria has stepped forward to institutionalize Africa\u2019s voice in global mineral governance,\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;H.E Engadu emphasized<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The signing and ratification that took place during the Fourth edition of the African Natural Resources and Energy Investment Summit (AFNIS) at State House Conference Centre in Abuja, Nigeria, was witnessed by H.E Hassan Ali Joho, Kenya\u2019s Cabinet Secretary for Mining, Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Albader, Senior Advisor to the Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Engr.
